South Korea

My dad went on a business trip to South Korea at the beginning of July, and I was surprised at how many good pictures he took!

Seeing pictures of difference places and cultures makes me want to travel that much more! I have been writing down places I want to/plan to visit within the next couple years, and let's just say that I will need to win the Powerball to make all these travel goals come true. Here is a quick list of the top places I plan to travel to by the end of 2014:

-Manhattan, New York
-Las Vegas, Nevada
-Sedona, Arizona
-London, England
-Moscow, Russia
-Riviera Maya, Mexico

With some hard work and good money saving habits, I think I can do it!

I recently got back from a dreamy vacation in Puerto Morelos, Mexico! It was a family vacation for both mine, and my boyfriend's families, 14 people total! We spent a week at an all inclusive resort called Ocean Coral & Turquesa and I can honestly say it was my favorite vacation i've had in a long time. We lounged around, ate and drank a TON, played soccer, volleyball, and football, and enjoyed each other's company! Here are some of my favorite pictures from my fabulous time in Mexico.

The second we got back from Mexico I got sick... :( So while I am battling this cold, I am dreaming of being back on the silky sand with the salty sea air wrapping me in its arms.

Weekend

This past Sunday I spent in Boulder, Colorado. I have lived in Colorado for a long time and have visited Boulder more times than I can count. However, the beauty of the town never ceases to amaze me! Here are some shots my sister and I (mostly my talented sister) took:

Though I love photography, I can't claim to be super good at it. My younger sister, however, is so naturally talented at taking beautiful pictures. I am always astonished at how she can make the simplest things look so captivating. I guess that's called an artist's eye, right?

My new hobby

On my 20th birthday, I was gifted a beautiful, white, Nikon J1

I had been using a point-and-shoot for about 4 years, and I was so ready to step up my photography game and get a camera which could actually take a decent picture.

With this in mind, I have gone a bit picture crazy and have been taking pictures of EVERYTHING! My family, my friends, my food, my surroundings--I feel so cool!

These are a few of my favorite shots that I have taken thus far with my lovely camera!

Post dinner tea and roasted sunflower seeds

I've come to terms that I am utterly addicted to coffee!

I still have a loooottttt to learn in the realms of photography, but I am willing and excited to do so!

Restart

--- Me, 3 years ago ---

3 years ago, I started this blog with the intent of having a place to vent my negative feelings. Fast forward 3 years, and I no longer feel the need to dwell on the negative feelings that may come into my life every once in a while. 3 years of maturing have taught me that focusing on the negative only wastes time and energy, and all I want to do is purely and simply live happily.

Now, I hope to use this blog as a space to share some aspects of my life! I want to post the pictures that I take and be able to look back on them and remember every detail of every thing that I have done. I know I have been, am, and always will be on a very positive and determined path in life, and I hope to impact others with it.
